Privacy Policy

Short version: BrainDiet does not collect your personal data. Everything you put into the app stays on your device. There are no accounts, no trackers, no ads, and nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.

Who we are

BrainDiet ("the app", "we") is an iOS app that helps you spend less time doomscrolling and more time on what matters to you. This policy explains how the app handles information.

Information we collect

None that leaves your device. BrainDiet has no user accounts and no sign-up. The information you create while using the app — your goals, your plan, your sessions, the sentence you write about who you want to become — is stored locally on your device only, using Apple's on-device storage. We cannot see it, and it is never uploaded to any server.

Screen Time and app-blocking features

BrainDiet's app-blocking uses Apple's Family Controls and Screen Time technologies. That information is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to us or to third parties. Apple's frameworks are designed so that even we, the developer, cannot read the specific apps or content you use.

Purchases

To write your daily steps, BrainDiet sends the answers you gave about your goals (your goals in your own words, where you are with them, the time you can give, the shape of your day, and what has stopped you before) to our server, which passes them to Anthropic's Claude model to write your plan. This happens when your plan is built and when it refreshes. It does not include your name, email, contacts, or anything about which apps you use. Anthropic processes this to return the plan and does not use it to train its models under its commercial terms (anthropic.com/legal/privacy). If you are offline, your plan is built on your phone instead.

Purchases (the weekly subscription and the lifetime purchase) are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your name, card number, or any payment details. To confirm your purchase and unlock the app, we use RevenueCat, a subscription service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app ID and your purchase record from Apple. It does not receive your name, email, goals, or anything else you put into the app. RevenueCat's handling of that information is governed by the RevenueCat Privacy Policy (revenuecat.com/privacy). Analytics, tracking, and ads

There are none. BrainDiet contains no third-party analytics, no advertising, and no tracking software. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not build a profile of you.

Sharing your information

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your information — because we do not collect it in the first place.

Keeping and deleting your data

Because everything is stored locally, you are in control. You can reset your data from within the app's settings, and deleting the app removes all of its data from your device.

Children

BrainDiet is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the date above.
